After already popping a pimple does toothpaste help to make the redness go away? Yes, I know popping it wasn't the best idea and I know toothpaste sometimes works on the actual pimple, but does it matter if it's popped?
Pimples and toothpaste?
no way! Use a product with benzoyl peroxide or salyic acid.
Pimples and toothpaste?
When the pimple is not already popped, the toothpaste helps with the inflammation. It will just irritate an already popped pimple.
Reply:I don't do tooth paste anymore.
I used to try it and it always made my pimple bigger and redder and normally brought a white head : |
Not cool.
So I don't use tooth paste.
Now I use differin. I think its only by prescription though.
Reply:eye drops are supposed to help
Reply:Is there no end to the toothpaste thing. My goodness.
Reply:Try rubbing alcohol
Reply:DEFINITELY NOT! Toothpaste is harmful to your skin whether it is a pimple or not. Toothpaste is meant for teeth so the chemicals and substances in it are not designed to heal a pimple. In fact, it can irritate it; and even lead to scarring because it has fluoride and sodium. Sodium can dry out your skin, but it will most likely irritate it as well.
Best way to get rid of a pimple is by leaving it alone, and applying a cream. I would recommend Neutrogena's Acne Eliminating Gel that costs around $5 dollars. Pimples on average take 2 days or even weeks to heal and disappear completely, so patience is key.
Good luck. =]
Reply:actually tooth paste really works
i use it, it drys out your pimples making it smaller =D
Reply:Toothpaste? Pls dont. Not going to work. Stop using your existing products, if you have. Using herbal, www.pierrechenxu.com. Have pimple cream too, effective man. Order a set of sample, last for a week. You will amaze to see the results. From Singapore
Reply:Toothpaste idea is such BS. Stick with special acne lotions or washes specially formulated to treat acne. Many use peroxide of different types and acids.
I know acne cause i used to have major acne and still have scars from it that are up to 1 in long.I have tried all treatments and found one that worked for me so i know what works and what don't, some treatments work for some people and not for others. So stick with the lotions and washes.
