Lip piercing?

How bad does it hurt to get a lip piercing? And does it leave a bad scar if I decide to take it out? Details Plz...
Lip piercing?
it shouldnt be unbearably hurtful, but everyone is different.

it also shouldnt leave a big scar
Lip piercing?
when i had my lip pierced it dident hurt a huge amount it was almost like ear piercing. and it shouldn't leave a huge scare but i wouldn't take mine out i like it to much. haha.

hope i helped.

but don't irrate it with loads of products. it'll just make it worse.
Reply:sour cream!!!!
Reply:try eucerin anti redness cream. it takes away the feeling, and it calms the redness. its a little pricey[$15] but it works!

hope this helpd you as much as it did me.

Reply:Only natural aloe from an aloe plant. Keep moisturizer on your skin your going to be totally miserable and will pay for the damage you done to your skin.

There is no other way around it now.

Sorry....
Reply:a cool compress with a very soft cloth. Take a white cotton t-shirt, soak it in cool water and lightly drape it over your skin. Keep it wet and cool. You have a 2nd degree burn (once you turn red - it's 2nd degree). Call the pharmacy for advice since there are products over the counter to relieve the pain.
Reply:Apply Aloe Vera gel. Go to Walmart or Pharmacy and buy a can of Bag Balm. Its used for cows but does wonders on sunburns.
Reply:Aloe

Vinegar

it burns but it will help so much.
Reply:I always just put on more sunscreen, it seems to help, even if you're not in the sun...
Reply:use aloe vera cooling gel......or use the real aloe plant...if u can get it...but if it starts to itch...wash it off,,,it means ur alergic 2 it...or skin moisturizer(lotion)...or just wait it out...lol
Reply:If you go to the nearest pharmacy you could ask the pharmacist for an over the counter solution for the burning of your skin. There is also a medication that is used for real burn victims called silvadene, but you will need a prescription for it. It works the best. I also lay out alot and my first time in the sun for the start of summer always ends in a burn. Good luck with the pain. I am sure you will look great once the hurting stops.
Reply:Aloe + sitting in front of a blowing fan. And keep re-applying the aloe. Water/soaking/tubs is only going to make your skin dry out more.

Take a pain killer too.

Should I get my belly button pierced?

I was just wondering - what are the odds of rejection or infection on that area of the body?

I don't normally have a lot of luck with piercings as infection is never far away. I had my cartilidge pierced a couple of years ago and that was very risky - and very painful.

I'm presuming belly buttons would be far different as it's all skin, what would you say?
Should I get my belly button pierced?
you get an infection no matter what. it hurts like hell and takes forever to go away.
Should I get my belly button pierced?
it really hurts, i had it done and mine just grew itself out and now i have a noticable scar :l totally not worth it

my mother had it done and hers also rejected twice

but my sisters got it done and its satyd in, she does however get an infection in it from time to time

Long-lasting pubic shave?

I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get a longer lasting shave, if I shave I have to end up shaving a day or two afterwards and it's getting a bit ridiculous. Any creams I can use or a better razor? I use Venus Gillette and Schick Silk Effects Plus but the Schick just makes my pubic area irritated no matter how fresh the razor is.
Long-lasting pubic shave?
Theres nothing you can do about the time between shaving no matter what razor you use, but you can get either laser treament to keep the hair off for a long period of time, or you can even just get waxed. Waxing gets the hair from its root so it takes a little longer for it to grow back.
Long-lasting pubic shave?
Why not just have it waxed. It lasts longer and there is less irritation and risk of infection from a follicle.

After i steam my face what should i do to get rid of a whitehead?

I asked how to get rid of a whitehead and someone said to steam my face to unclog to pores. if i steam my face what should i do atferwards to get rid of a whitehead?

p.s i have tried to break the skin, but it hurt to much and it didn't break...i put toothpaste on it and a proactive facial mask to dry it out, that didn't even work so now i am so extremely frusterated! please help me!
After i steam my face what should i do to get rid of a whitehead?
get some scizzors. Some sharp scizzors.
After i steam my face what should i do to get rid of a whitehead?
Well, u can ty popping it but tht could end up scarring it. other than that leave it alone. but btw after you steam ur face u HAVE to put cold water on ur face to close ur pores. if you don't then ur pores are left open and they can easily be clogged producing more acne
Reply:Follow these remedies in case you suffer from frequent whiteheads. Mix Cornstarch With Vinegar, make a paste and apply on the area for 15-30 minutes, wash off with washcloth and warm water, this helps to get rid whiteheads. Used green tea can be utilized by scrubbing your face with it. Do it twice a week and see the difference. Check out http://useinfo-whitehead.blogspot.com/ for more useful info on whiteheads.

If your white can you still get a tear tattoo?

I got two dead friends so i'm lookin' to get two tears in memory of them. I look white because my mom is white but my dad is German. So could I get the tear tattoos?
If your white can you still get a tear tattoo?
A tattoo on your face= never get hired.
If your white can you still get a tear tattoo?
I don't think it matters if it means something to you then go for it
Reply:tear tattoos are most associated with being in prison. i would not get a tear tattoo. try instead a memorial tattoo on your upper arm.
Reply:Go right ahead. You will be a target for any black gang member who crosses your path.

You will never get hired by any respectable establishment.

Also, the tear tattoo is an indicator of people you have killed, not friends that have died.
Reply:tears usually mean you have killed someone i think. im not sure though.. i wouldnt get it on ur face.
Reply:Tears can mean a lot of things, rarely anything that isn't unsavory.

It most often indicates murder, loss of time spent in prison, or loss of a friend to murders.

It is generally very, very unwise.
Reply:Research the tear drop. In some citys tear drop= gang member. I say don't do it.
Reply:Tears are 4 years in prison. That's not a feature most people would like to broadcast often. But hey, do what you do!
Reply:yes u can get a tear tattoo. But a tear tattoo represents that you killed someone, not that your crying...it also lowers your chances of getting a job since its noticable.

I suggest getting 2 little tear drops ony our shoulder blade if you really want to get them done.
Reply:A tear tattoo means that you have killed someone. Has nothing to do with race.

Don't get anything tattooed on your face. Think of the future.

You can have memory tats of your friends elsewhere = ) It's nice that you want to.
Reply:A tear tattoo means that you are in the LA based street gang "Bloods"

Tattoo or piercing?

First let me say: I am 17, and I have no reason to get a tattoo or piercing. I just really want one.

Should I get a:

-nose ring

-cartilage piercing

-ankle tattoo

-lip ring

Which one is less painful?? I also have to think about school. I don't want to get something and then have to take it out

Most popular?
Tattoo or piercing?
Lip ring
Tattoo or piercing?
i just got a lip ring like 3 days ago it didn't hurt when i got it but after i got it done it started to hurt and it is still really uncomfortable when i eat and stuff like that i also have to clean it as often as i can and i after i do it starts to sting a bit but after it heals it will be so worth it
Reply:They all hurt.

They are all passe...common.

Why not be 'original' and

get neither.
Reply:cartilage piercing (painful for some, but easy to hide)

OR

Ankle tattoo (painful %26amp; easy to hide)
Reply:since you are a bit young I say go with the cartilage piercing and later as you get older you might decide to do something more extreme
Reply:NOSE RING it doesnt hurt at all and its easy if you dont like it all you have to do is let it close up

start with a piercing then once you think your ready get a tatoo
Reply:The least painful one is the cartilage piercing.
Reply:Cartilage piercing. Tattoo's don't hurt, but they're uncomfortable; however, not reversible. Piercings you can just take out and let the hole close. Nose rings, in my opinion are less attractive than just a normal, non-holed nose. A lip ring on a girl is disgusting.

I'd go with a cartilage piercing because they really don't hurt at all, they just look like it. They look good, too.
Reply:well your too young to get them on your own, so i geuss you have a parnent going with you. i would say get a nose pericing or cartilage piercing. I've had both and for me the cartilage hurt worse than the nose, but it is really different for everyone. I dont know what your school rules are but you should check before you bet anything done. dont to ankle tattoo, it will look stupid, and a lip ring is a bit masculine in my opinion.
Reply:If you're still at school you may need to remove the peircings - so I would go with the ankle tattoo.

I had one on my ankle done when I was at school and it was easy to hide. It also didn't really hurt (that much)

I've also got my nose pierced and it made my eyes water for a while but not all that painfull.

Good luck whatever you decide!
Reply:It all depends on what you look like. Some people can pull off piercing and others can't. A tattoo done right looks good. I can't speak for all piercings, but I do know a nose wasn't that bad. You should survive it.
Reply:Heyoo,

I think that you should get an ankle tattoo. Its kinda painful, (I have one) but you'll live dear. Also, its so easy to hide!!!!!
Reply:i have nose ring dat doesnt hurt at all promise. cartilage piercings however do and both nose and cartliage are still popular for the most of it. ankle tattas are Out! but lip rings are the most common thang i see other than tongue piercings which you didn t minchin so bottom line go with the LIP!!!
Reply:Nose rings are in thses days. I've got 2 holes in one nostril and it does not hurt. I did the first 1 myself when I was 16 years old and did the second myself when I was 20. I've had them for a while. I also just recently gotten two tatts. One on my right shoulder blade and one on my upper right are. Not to mention I have one on my thigh. No they didn't hurt, but they are very addictive. Once u start with tatts you won't be able to stop. So really think about it. And c if that's something you want to do.
Reply:I'd get the ankle tat.
Reply:Well the least painful would be the cartilage piercing.

The most popular is the nose ring.

If you're worried about school then a nose or lip ring wouldn't be the way to go.

A cartilage piercing is more easily hidden.

And the school couldn't do anything about the ankle tattoo if you got one since it's permanent.

I would say go for the cartilage piercing.
Reply:Nose rings and lip rings will have to be taken out for school... and without meaning behind the tattoo you'll possibly regret it when your older. I'd so go with the cartilage piercing.
Reply:Lip rings are the hottest.and why would she have to take it out for school?
Reply:First of all none of them really hurts, the tattoo can vary from person to person, but i was laughing when i got my ankle tattooed (yes right on the bone too) cause i finds the vibrations from the ink gun tickles. If your doing if out of bordom then i strongly advise you to forget the tattoo, if not you'll regret it later on.

As for piercings, you should consider the aftercare before hand.

nose and cartilage piercings doesn't hurt at all, due to the fact cartilage has no nerves and there's very little skin in both locations, most you feels is just pressure and it's over in a few seconds. the aftercare for these piercings are the same, just keep them clean, you can by a product from your piercing, like dragon mist spray that will help it heal fast and keep it clean, plus help reduce possible sorness fast.

a lip piercing, is similiar, you have to keep the outside clean, and use an alcohol-free mouth wash several times a day, after meals, before bed, and you shouldn't smoke or drink during the healing, but hey i'm not your mother, lol.

the piercings aren't so bad but a tatt is something that should include a bit of thought first, impulsive tattoos are usually regretted.

Also if your worried about not being able to have the piercing in school, then you can always use a retainer after it's healed while your in class. it's clear plastic jewelry that's available for all piercings, and it's really hard to see unless they know you have the piercing and is looking for it.
Reply:* nose ring: doesn't hurt, will most likely make your eyes water- because the nose is such a sensitive spot- but not painful... might also bleed a lil, but like I said- no pain

* cartilage piercing: these hurt me-- if you go get your ears pierced- especially your cartilage- go to an actual piercing place where you'd have it done by a professional and with a needle... if you go to a piercing place in the mall- where they use the piercing guns- those destroy (break) your cartilage and make for a slower healing process and more painful.. I have 10 in each ear- and its taking FOREVER for my latest 2 cartilage (the very top of my ear) to heal- and I had them all done at piercing pagodas in the mall- no fun there for me.

*I don't personally have the ankle tattoo but I have one on my foot and on my hips-- tattoos aren't as bad as people make them out to be-- believe me

* lip ring: I have my labret pierced (middle, right above chin- except I have mine up higher- closer to the bottom of my lower lip)... this one I didn't feel more than a pinch-- doesn't hurt... and mine is easily hidden by my lower lip-- but I had it pierced that way on purpose.

I love my labret- but a lot of people are getting them nowadays- so I guess it goes with the whole most popular part... but I didn't get my piercings because I wanted to have a popular piercing- I got it because I've always wanted it....

By the way-- Your going to have to wait until your 18 to get any of this stuff done, every where you go-- your going to have to be 18 or have a parent or legal guardian sign for you

If you go to your local drugstore, look for the brand Eucerin. They have a cheap hand lotion that is very effective on dry hands!

People with this experience?

how bad is lip piercing really?
People with this experience?
its not that bad my frend got a lip pierced and she said its not that bad but she said it did hurt her for a couple of weeks
People with this experience?
I have one, and it's not that bad. It's about the same as getting your belly pierced, to me. It'll have a burning, dull achy pain right after like any other piercing does, but because this is different tissue and it's a deeper piercing, it requires you to be very cautious of keeping it clean. If you smoke, eat, or drink, you HAVE to swish around listerine in your mouth to prevent it from getting infected.

Skin help!!!!!?
body lotion with aloe Vera and moisturizer... tanninf beds as weird as that seems it helps... my friend had the same problem :) hope it works!!!
Skin help!!!!!?
First suggestion is to make sure you are not taking a super long HOT shower. This can dehydrate your skin and cause more dryness. You should also use a moisturizer with shea butter. Shea butter helps keep your skin super hydrated.

Tattoo Emergency! rash, bad aftercare? help, please!!?

hi i got a tattoo yesterday and the guy gave me some weird aftercare instructions, he told me to wash with neutral soap every four hours, but to continue wrapping it in plastic for three days. This morning the tattoo was a sweaty mess and i was worried about infection, so i bought some antibiotic cream, planning to treat it like i had done for my other tattoos. I couldnt get A%26amp;D (im in ecuador), so bought something called Dermizol G which is a betametasone and gentamicin. I applied a thin layer, and no plastic wrap. now it all red. i washed it off, but dont know what to do now. should i just leave it, even though it will dry out? should i get a diaper rash cream, similar to A%26amp;D? Thank you in advance for your help, smart *** answers get out. Thank you.
Tattoo Emergency! rash, bad aftercare? help, please!!?
ewww thats weird it's probably infected from being wraped in plastic which means it will be extemely painful and take ages to heal you may need to go to the doctor
Tattoo Emergency! rash, bad aftercare? help, please!!?
id get the diaper rash cream if its working for you in the past. thats why i always use the same tattooer
Reply:My mate got one done last saturday and is using nappy rash cream and it is almost healed!!

Good luck x
Reply:Wash it and put NOTHING on it at all. If it is not markedly better in 24 hours see a doctor pronto.

(STUPID A** SHOULD NEVER have told you to use plastic wrap on it - especially for three days....GRRRRRRRRR - I want to wrap their ^%26amp;%%# in plastic wrap!!)
Reply:Personally, I would leave it. The reaction sounds vaguely like an mild allergic one - not too uncommon. At this point, one day later, the skin should be pretty much sealed off via normal healing and you just need to keep it clean and lightly moisturized. Try to avoid doing much with the area and the heat too, which might be tricky that close to the equator.

This assumes the area is just reddened; I get a similar reaction if I use too much tri-biotic on a cut. If you get serious swelling, extreme sensitivity, streaks or pus... then check with the doctor.

Best of luck to you.

Addendum: Tatt_brat's advice is best %26amp; simplest. Stick with that.
Reply:I'll tell you what my tattoo artist has told me...funky things happen with tattoos, the best thing to do is nothing at all. Just wash it a couple of times a day with unscented antibacterial soap and leave it alone. Just let your body heal on it's own.

It does sound like you got some bad aftercare instructions, but I think if you leave it to heal you should be fine.
Reply:the redness is normal just your tat healing get some ointment close to a%26amp;d if you can stay away from anything with petroleum jelly in it because it can actually pull out the ink DON'T wrap it up this will hinder the healing process and lead to infection just apply a thin layer of triple anti or what ever you get to keep it moist and you should be fine
Reply:The cream probably irritated your skin.

Put water on it and lightly wash it for the next few days.

Do not wrap it up anymore.
Reply:I had one of my latest tattoos get I guess infected, it was getting red and puffy and it had things on and around that resembled tiny pimples...

I had put on too much lotion/ A%26amp;D ointment... I was told to let it dry out for a few days- to basically let my skin breathe, I did, and now it's a.o.k... my tattoo didn't dry out or get nasty- it just healed up...

I'd say try to let your tattoo dry out a bit- and if it doesn't get even the slightest bit better in about 2-3 days -- try to get something like A%26amp;D-- or put a VERY LIGHT layer of something like neosporin on it to help it heal and get rid of the infection... if that doesn't work- then I'd say-- make a call to your doctor!!
Reply:Hi astair,

Are breast implants safe?

I've been a lot of research on breast implants, im thinkin about getting my breast done in the next year. Im a smalled framed person. 5ft3in, 121pounds. I've even talked to a couple of people and surgeons about the procedure. I know that there are risks but we take risks everyday. Im not trying to get to get anything to big. So if there is any1 outh there that can give me advice plz I will be more than happy to hear it. Also if these any1 who has ever had them plz let me kno if u have had and problems or if anything went wrong. Plz. I need answers.
Are breast implants safe?
I had mine done 2006 and love them! So far, I haven't had any problems. I had a very good cosmetic surgeon who had me get a lot of tests prior to the operation. I wanted them bigger but he said if your pockets are small. . . don't stuff them because they won't look natural and he was absolutely right. They look very natural and I'm happy with them. Good Luck!

Things can go wrong with the surgery, but that's with anything.
Reply:y would u wanna do such a thing have to read in the news wit surgical accidents n young girls dying. your 5'3 wat u wanna look like lil kim big boobs on a small frame will cause back problems n if you do get implents they can leak n cause u to get sick look what happen to pam anderson
Reply:No surgery is safe. With breast implants, the postoperative recovery is very long and very-very-very painful. I know a person who had them done, and she says she was in so much pain she couldn't sleep for a month, painkillers and all.

don't take this risk.

Why do I keep burning in the sun, even with 50 SPF?

I don't get it--I apply it, reapply it and then reapply the stuff again, but 50 SPF isn't working for me. I can't go out in the sun for half an hour without getting a terrible burn!

Why is this happening?

What can I do so I can still enjoy the sun?
Why do I keep burning in the sun, even with 50 SPF?
sun blockers don't protect you from sunburn, only UV rays.

Try tanning gradually, 30 minutes a day in the sun until you are brown and then you can spend as much time in the sun as you wish
Why do I keep burning in the sun, even with 50 SPF?
Try something even stronger, and if that doesn't work then speak to your doctor about it because I don't know what to say.
Reply:how old is your sunscreen cuz it could be expired also is it waterproof if not and ur going in the water it mite be washing off also your should apply it the first time 15-30 before exposure to sun to get the full effect you could also try the new neutragena spf 70 with helioplex thats supposed to work really well...good luck and hope this helpd a lil bit =)
Reply:Where a T shirt over your bathing suit so the sun wont get you
Reply:you may want to use a higher SPF your skin may be to light. check with your doctor so you don't get wrinkles or skin cancer.
Reply:The lotion must have protection from both UVA and UVB. Also, you must appy it 30 minutes before actually going out in the sun.
Reply:I have to use SPF 70--so try that.

Also make sure that you're using enough of the stuff. Each time you apply sunscreen, you're supposed to use about 1/4 of the tube.

Usually the spray works better because it's easier to apply. Or, get the kind that goes on in a color, then rubs in clear. That way, you can make sure you've applied it to every single spot that will be shown.
Reply:HI,

If the sunscreen doesn't work for you, then you should get someting stronger. Maybe your skin is very sensitive and can't stay in the sun for too long without getting burned. Try staying in the sun for half an hour each day, to get your skin used to the sun.

Good Luck! %26lt;3
Reply:Well what kind of sunscreen are you using?

Spray sunscreen is okay but it doesn't really cover good.

You need to be applying liquid sunscreen, at least an ounce for your whole body, every 45 minutes.

Make sure the sunscreen is made for playing sports- that way it can handle the moisture if you sweat.

You also need to get a high SPF sunscreen. Getting 60 or higher should work better.

Snakebite piercing questions?

1. When getting a snakebite piercing will i need my own studs to go in with to get them pierced?

2. Whats the default gauge for snakebite piercings?

3. What are some good types of studs?? (For men)

4. Do normal rings look good?
Snakebite piercing questions?
A licensed professional body piercer should have jewelry autoclaved in the size you choose. Either 14G or 16G can be used for this piercing. These can be stretched from 16G to 14G by a piercer, or you can downsize from a 14G to a 16G. Labret studs are fine. Guys here really like spiked ones, especially for this piercing. Rings look cool too, and they are very easy to keep clean. Be sure your piercer is reputable, licensed, trained, bloodborne pathogens certified, and autoclaves all instruments touching you. They should also be able to provide you with both verbal and written aftercare to take home to help you care for your piercing. If they cannot do all of this, please walk out and find someone who can. Helpful hints--use ice packs a few times daily after the piercing for a couple days. Take Alieve, Motrin, or Tylenol for pain and swelling. This is not a painful piercing, however if it swells it can be. Lots of rinsing and soaking with sea salt as well. Good luck! I hope this helps you.
Snakebite piercing questions?
1. When getting a snakebite piercing will i need my own studs to go in with to get them pierced?

No, the piercing studio will have their own jewelry to put in your lip.

2. Whats the default gauge for snakebite piercings?

The standard gauge is 14g but 16g is quite common too.

3. What are some good types of studs?? (For men)

Well you could get a labret stud in a solid color like black or you could get some silver rings. But there are SO many varities that you can choose whichever you want and it would look just fine.

4. Do normal rings look good?

Yes normal rings do look good.

If you have any other questions, feel free to email me.
Reply:the default gauge is 14 or 16.

you should try some spiked studs or curved barbells.

yes. normal rings look good.

I really really want my navel pierced!!!!?

ok my sister told me she would take me to get my belly button pierced for my 14th birthday if my mom said yes, but my mom said no.... how can i convince my sister to take me behind my moms bak?!?!

ps. if u r gonna tell me "dont do it!" dont waste ur time

thanks :)
I really really want my navel pierced!!!!?
haha okayy :D because i have pierced my bellybutton like five times with a safety pin already, i'm going to say u can do it by yourself with some deep cleaning rubbing alchahol and a safety pin..be careful because it will hurt. so be prepared..also if it isn't done professionaly, it will get infected a LOT easier..if you do decide to do it, be sure to pour rubbing alchohol on it every two or ther hours..maybe every hour for the first two weeks or soo..as far as convincing your sister? be creative. threaten her. give her something she wants. also, love be careful because your mum might find out. best of luck and if u have any other questions email me: xmusicinmysoulx@yahoo.com. good luck sweetie:D
I really really want my navel pierced!!!!?
I won't tell you not to do it %26amp; I am surely not wasting my time!!! I will tell you if anyone does this without parental consent they are breaking the law. If they are willing to break the law for a few bucks, I am sure they would have no problem using dirty needles and equipment to pierce you with. You can contract Hepatitis, HIV, etc...Look up MRSA on the Internet. It CAN kill you. If you are willing to risk you life go ahead-I wish you wouldn't. Also, these take 9-12 months to heal. If you are going to be irresponsible on how you get it pierced, you surely will be irresponsible with the aftercare...The biggest part is sea salt soaks 4-6 times a day for a minimum of 4 months up 12 months. Bad freaky things DO happen!!! You only live once. Be safe and make only smart choices.
Reply:Your sister can't take you.

If you're under 18, you need to take a parent or guardian with you and both you and your parent needs to bring ID. You may even have to bring your birth certificate.

So having your sister take you won't work.

Maybe you should have done your research.
Reply:I would not trust any place that would allow your sister to be your "legal guardian" (which is what you need to be to take someone to get something pierced)

If your mom doesn't want you to do it, just wait. I did it myself when I was 14. i had it for a month or two, but then my body reject the piercing and pushed the ring i had in out. It was super gross! there was puss and oooz everywhere. It was so infected, and i HAD to tell my mom. She was livid and took me to the doctors immediately. It healed, and i'm fine now, but i had so much scar tissue build up (which is permenent around the navel), and had to get the bottom of my navel pierced when i went and got a done a year ago (at age 19).

PLEASE DON'T DO IT YOURSELF

(plus, if you are tempted, notice that the girl above said she has done it herself FIVE times and it is PAINFUL. You should question why she's had to do it five times!)

Good luck trying to get it done. If you do find a place, just make sure they keep everything clean.

How to get rid of bags under eyes?

I don't want to use makeup, and I do sleep a lot. like at 10:00pm-7:45 a.m.(More than 10 hours)

Any solutions?

How to get rid of bags under eyes?
Same with me.It may be genetic, but they're a pain in the butt.I'm 13 too.You could try getting more iron,or else just wearing a good concealer.
How to get rid of bags under eyes?
Your skin under your eyes has a thinner tissue than the rest of your face. So, some people have thinner tissue than others, which results in more "bags" as they call it. But it is actually just more blood flow causing the purple. You are only 13 so I would honestly not worry about it. If you are that worried, just buy a some cover up, covergirl or revlon, and it can temporarily fix the problem. I have had this problem my whole life, I started to using Hylexin, but you are to young for that.

How can i get tan without my freckles popping out?

i have alot of freckles on my arms, and a little on my face. i have kinda pale skin, and im a cheerleading and i dont like wearing our uniform skirts not im not very tan. so please someone help me figure out a way to get tan without the freckles or at least not as many.

thank you so much
How can i get tan without my freckles popping out?
Have you tried any of the sunless tanners? Try Neutrogena, it works real good, I am also kind of pale and have freckels and the more sun you get the more freckels you will get.
How can i get tan without my freckles popping out?
No. I have freckles and tan in a tanning bed. Yes my freckeles have increased but so has my tan. Now that I am darker they are less noticeable. Just remember to keep your skin moist and don't over do it.
Reply:Freckles are HOT on a girl! I would definitely be watching the freckled cheerleader more than any of the others. Don't try and get rid of them, cherish them along with that tan. Freckles are AWESOME!
Reply:that's pretty much impossible.

I've freckles as well, and everytime I get tan they just pop out.

It's the skin,... sorry ha

but they're not ugly though...

pale people look better than tan crispy human-raisin people.
Has anyone gone into one of those spray on tan rooms?
Spray Tanning is the best and safest way to tan; plus, they last longer. Basically, you just go into this room where you change out of your clothes and put an eye mask and shower cap on (so your hair and eyes don't get sprayed) and you walk into this machine-thing with spray nozzles all around it. You press a button and it sprays for about 30 seconds, then you turn around and it sprays again. After you get out, make sure you even out the spray with a towel by rubbing it in to make sure you don't get streaks. It works like a charm! :) Hope I helped.
Reply:girl, trust me the lotions work alot better just rub them in smoothly everyday, make it look natural though... i tried the spray tans and it just makes you orange dont ruin your skin like that
Reply:I have tried them twice and had bad experences both times. There were several missed areas, uneven, and stained my clothes. You would be better to get a real tan in a tanning bed. If you tan in a bed just take it slow 2-3 mins three days a week. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If you do not burn you can up your minutes until you reach the 20 max. Happy Tanning;-)
Reply:I am a beauty therapist, and I spray people, every day, the quality of the spray tan is important, basically they claim to be of a natural base, the operator holds a gun full of liquid tan, they spray you all over, usually naked, with hair covered, the colour that sprays out is a guide only so the operator know if she is straying evenly, the product changes the colour of your skin by increasing the melanin, it also contains alcohol to help with the quick drying, don't touch yourself for a least 5 to 10 minutes after being sprayed, it takes about 8 to 9 hours to come through, so it is best to have the spray late in the day, so you can sleep whilst the tan is developing, in the morning you shower, with very little rubbing and apply a good body moisturiser every day then the tan will last longer, it will fade due to the dead skin layer naturally rubbing off, hope all that helps.
Reply:im pale too. i tried the mystic tan at suntancity anddd it just made me look dirty. and even two days after i got it i could still see it washing away in the shower.

ok ok dont panic! I am 15 and had the exact same problem.

what i use is clinique repairwear (eye cream) every morning and night. You just dap a little where the wrinkles are and they will be gone soon! I know this because i have done this and dont worry if you have sensitive skin because thats what i have and it caused me no problems. Hope this helps :)
Reply:slice cold cucumber and put them into the eyes. it relaxes your eye and makes it look fresh. also, you can apply potato %26amp; applesauce cream. they work, too.
Reply:Be gentle with your skin and it will go a long way in keeping it smooth and supple. Gently massage the marks with glycerin-honey mixture. Dip a cotton pad in unbeaten egg white, and smooth it across wrinkles. Leave it on for an hour and remove it with a cotton dipped in ice-cold water. Machel Montano - Congo Man?

what are the lyrics to that song :Machel Montano - Congo Man

How may I convince...?

okay before the school year starts, for my birthday I get to get my nose pierced and only get to keep it if I get straight A's.

[[which is easy because I'm a good student]]

But the more I think of it the nose piercing seems kinda boring.

What I really want is to get my lip pierced!!!

so, how can I convince her?

and are nose rings really boring?
How may I convince...?
Just ask her if you can get your lip instead. Assuming you already have and she said no, I'd just go with the nose, nose piercings look really good, too, and they're not boring. If you haven't asked yet, make sure you ask her when she's in a good mood and say please. =P
How may I convince...?
nose rings are not boring it just depends on what type of nose ring u get if u just get a silver stud its boring but if u get a rhine stone nose ring that is more interesting. but i wouldnt get my tongue peirced (thats just my opinoin though) but if u want to convience her then u say wow mom and dad no one is really getting thier nose pierced because its going out of style soo everyone now is getting lip piercings and i would love to have that done insted of my nose because it would look better
Reply:I don't believe nose rings are boring, they can actually look really quite cute depending on your facial features and so on. They can either add to someone's look or go against someone's look though, so you really have to be positive it'll look good on you. If your not completely sure that you want a nose ring and your sure that you'd be happier with a lip piercing, then I'd go for the lip piercing. I would explain to your parents/parent that you've been putting a lot of thought into it and that you've decided a lip piercing is more your style or more for you. If they say no, then accept their answer- their your parents/parent and when they feel respected they'll be more lenient and possibly later change their minds once they realize how calmly you reacted to their response. Just be sure to explain to them that your willing to work for the piercing and that'll show them that your committed and it's something you really want, sometimes telling them this in words won't work... so show them you want it through your actions ;) Best of luck!
Reply:All of my friends have nose rings, and a couple have lip rings. I don't like facial piercings because i think they're distracting. Do you really want people staring at your nose or lip instead of your lovely face?

Of the 2, I'd say go with the nose. It's less conspicuous, and a little more "exotic" looking (I know it's popular in India). The lip thing just looks weird.
Reply:Well ask her first if you can get a lip piercing instead.

If she says no then remind her that you're a good student.

Also explain that you're mature enough and responsible and you'll do extra chores and pay for the piercing yourself.

Remind her that it's your body and you're the one interested in the piercing so you should be able to get it. You're old enough to make this decision for yourself.

Nose piercings aren't boring.

They may be really common and nothing special anymore but they're not boring, they're quite cute.

But I prefer a lip piercing.

Reply:no one thing or product is going to remove cellulite. there are 3 strategies that if used together i guarantee you will lose your cellulite. firstly you need to change your diet, you need to remove all foods that are high in toxins and saturated fats that cause the fat cells to grow and cluster together creating the appearance of dimples or cellulite. secondly you need to implement an exercise routine, you don't need a gym membership, something like walking the dog, hiking and swimming are just a couple of ideas. remember to pick exercises specific to your cellelite area. thirdly for the best result you need to rejuvinate the skin, repair the skins connective tissues and cell structure i recommend using revitols cream at http://www.revitol.site88.net it has a money back guarantee and no prescription needed

good luck

Which is better for you body wash or good ol' soap bars?

I'm deciding which I like and want to use.

I'm 14 if that matters!!
Which is better for you body wash or good ol' soap bars?
well it depends wat you are alergic to in the body wash sence love, becuase some body wash has harmfull chemicals that irritate skin and soap is natural i think but body wash ( if your not alergic to any chemicals it has) are safe for you to use and do the job of cleaning your body becuase thats wat they are desined to do, soap is just soap but body wash have just got added chemicals to make the body washing sequence more effective
Which is better for you body wash or good ol' soap bars?
Dear i think that you should stick to the good ol' soap bars. Some body wash don't leave your skin as nice as soap. Get Dove or something soft nd soothing 4 ur skin. IIght? %26lt;3
Reply:Actually, neither. Soap is not good for the skin at all. You should consider finding an all-natural cleanser instead.
Reply:both.

use a good body wash for your skin, smelly and cleaning, anti bacterial bar for under your arms. and for your special area. very lite soap.
Reply:Soap has a rather high pH (it's basic) so it's not good for your skin at all. Skin is slightly acidic, so its a bad mix. I have extremely sensitive skin and I can't use the stuff. Try and find a natural, organic, pH balanced body wash.

Smooth segment ring in lip piercing?

ok i have my right side lower lip pierced with a labret stud

once it has healed (in my opinion and judgement =]) iv bought a smooth segment ring to put in i have a few questions

1- How much will it hurt to change the jewellery for the first time?

2- How easy are the segment rings to put in/ live with

3- my piercing is quite low down and i have quite full lips so i orders it 12mm diameter, 16 gauge, does this sound about suitable

help appreciated. this is the ring iv bought

http://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/online_...

thankiesss
Smooth segment ring in lip piercing?
It shouldn't hurt too much if it is already healed. That type of ring is veryy suitable for lips and looks neat cuz you don't have that giant ball hanging out one side of your mouth. Just make sure you clean it regularly just like you would with any other piercing. Sometimes it can be hard for one person to put it in by themselves try having someone that trust help you get it in for the first time. It might take you a while to get used to changing it and cleaning it yourself.
Smooth segment ring in lip piercing?
hey you have the same thing as me! (:

1. i waited a month to

change the jewelry

and it didn't hurt at all (:

2. i usually have a stud in

also but i occasionally

switch it up to a ring.

they're kinda hard to put

in at first, but you'll get good

at it haha.

3. yeah, that sounds fine.

mine is pretty low too.

you should go to like..

hot topic or something

and look at what they have

so you can find the right size.

peace!
Reply:Hi ya,

1. Changing jewelery will not hurt at all provided that it is healed. Once your piercing is healed, you can do all kinds of things with it and it doesn't hurt one bit.

2. Putting the jewelery in is not a problem. I always found it more comfortable to put it from the side of inside the mouth towards the outside. Living with your piercing is the same as living without it, except you get the stares and stupid questions plus you look fabulous.

3. I think you ordered a good size, but to be honest, your piercer shoud have given you all the sizes after piercing. My lips are not very full and the piercing right below the lip so I used to wear 8mm diameter.

I'm sure you look cool.
Reply:16 sounds good for a first timer. It doesn't hurt if it's adequately healed. Use Bactine to clean it. It has a numbing agent, plus it cleans it. Just make sure you put the new ring in right after you take the stud out. It will probably start to close up right away. It took a few years before I could leave mine out over night and not have to force it through the next day. Make sure you sterilize the ring first. Good luck.
Reply:You should let your piercer change your jewelry. This will provide a sterile environment, and cause you less pain and hassle of doing it yourself. Segment rings sometimes can be tricky. Same as captive bead rings if you don't have the tools. Good luck getting it in. I have a hard enough time putting beads the rings I have in my own ears %26amp; I have the tools! I have to have them installed. Let your piercer install this or you can check into horseshoes that have balls on both ends. It's easy to take in %26amp; out. They have them in blue titanium too! Good luck!
Reply:1- How much will it hurt to change the jewellery for the first time?

Well if your lip is fully healed then it shouldn't be painful at all, unless you're having difficulty getting the jewelry in. Then it might be a little bit sore afterwards and sting slightly if you try to shove the jewelry in.

2- How easy are the segment rings to put in/ live with?

They're pretty tricky to get on but once theyre in, it's perfectly fine. But it is different than a labret stud. If the segment ring is too long then the ring will constantly be getting in the way when you go to eat. So make sure you get the right size

3- my piercing is quite low down and i have quite full lips so i orders it 12mm diameter, 16 gauge, does this sound about suitable?

Yes it does sound like a nice size. It should be good.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me.

And it seems whenever i go swimming, these little moles randomly pop up on my chest. Is it anything dangerous? i've heard that anyone who has over 30 moles is at risk for skin cancer or something... Is it something I should be worried about?
Skin cancer health precautions?
Any mole can be cancerous, if a mole appears or changes in any way go straight to a dermatologist.
Skin cancer health precautions?
Generally cancer itself is a precaution. Definitely keep an eye on it and make consistent visits for screenings because it is in your genes.

However, moles are common amongst everyone. The average person can have up to 20-100 moles and as they get closer to the age of 20, they will have about all of the moles that will appear throughout their lifetime. Keep in mind that any irregularity in shape, size, color, texture, or anything that seems at all suspicious, should be looked at; especially in your case. On the other hand, if you're below 20 years old, I wouldn't be as worried about it because your skin is still developing.

Either way, I would still do screenings and check ups every now and then. Good luck. =]
Reply:My personal experience and knowledge of skin cancer, if the mole is the same isometrically not a concern. Irregular shape, forms a scab then appears to heal then returns get it checked out, if also doesn't hurt to map out the moles on your body, keep track of location, any changes and measure the size.

I use 30 spf sunscreen which is on the weaker side of protection, there are so many available today there is really not excuse to not use them all the time, not just when you know you will be out in the sun.

Tattoo with my son's name....?

Im a male and I am looking for a masculine idea for a tattoo with my son's name and maybe with birthdate...first name is Parker...initials are PJM and b-date is 10/21/07
Tattoo with my son's name....?
aww that's a very cute idea. i would say like name in a cool font, but not too fancy and then his bday under it. or maybe have a pic in between his name and bday of something that reminds u of him or a nickname u call him (like a monkey for ex. if u call him monkey)
Tattoo with my son's name....?
OMG OMG THAT'S THE SAME BIRTHDAY AS ME i AM NTO KIDDING OMG OMG OMG I ONLY KNOW 1 PERSON THAT HAS THE SAME B DAY BUT NOW I KNOW TWO OMG OMG

you should make it P(heart)J(star)M(heart)10(star)21(heart) son
Reply:Aww thats very cute. I can design something for you if you want. But what are you interested in? That may help me out a little bit. =)

EDIT: What about this? The symbol means "father" in chinese. You can also have the artist change the font.

EDIT: Or you can get a little portrait of your son:

EDIT: Or you could get a cross and have his initials on one side and his birthday on the other side...
Reply:Getting his name would be very cute. I want to do that when i have children. Except what I want is to wait until they are old enough and have them write their own names and I will get that tattooed on me. It makes it even more special. That is just an idea.
Reply:my dad has me and my sister's first and middle names on one of his arms in a script-ish font. maybe something like that with his bday underneath.
Reply:get two baby feet tattooed on your shoulder blade with his name and b-day underneath

Should i or shouldn't i???

my husband wants to get tattoos of each others signatures on our wrists?? i dont know if i want to.....i mean what if it doesnt work out?? now that would suck to get it removed?? has anybody got a tatto removed?? i dont know what to do.....
Should i or shouldn't i???
Don't do it! Tell him you don't like the idea of tattoos in general. Think of some good reasons.
Should i or shouldn't i???
I would say since you are already in doubt about it, don't do it. Go with your heart!
Reply:I always feel that if a decision is very difficult to make, the answer is probably "no". Or maybe wait until you are sure.
Reply:i love tattoos and i have many...as does my husband, and i would never get anyones name tattooed on me except maybe my children....you never know what might happen....i think the two of you could find something besides the signature! plus, most men have really bad handwriting!! and think about the location as well!! good luck!
Reply:dont di it........................I always hear stories about people getting tattos and regreat it
Reply:I'd never get another person's name tattooed on my body. I say no go.
Reply:tell him that as much as you love the idea, your scared because getting your partners name tattooed on you is a jinx.

also, he's your husband- he should respect your decision.

EDIT: Suggest to him that maybe you can each get a little star on your wrist instead. That way you'll have matching tattoos but if you do seperate you wont necessarily regret it because no one needs to know that you match with someone.

Good luck!
Reply:Don't Do It!!!!! Follow you're heart! Hope i helped! (^_^)
Reply:I would say NO! Instead get matching symbols that mean something to you both. but do not put dates or names of significant others on your body!
Reply:My husband and I wear each others names. My name on him is on his wrist but on the top side. My husbands name on me is in a heart also on the top side of my wrist. Even if it doesn't work out you don't have to have it removed it could also be covered up. As long as it isn't huge or scarred. If you want to I say go for it. My husband has been a professional tattoo artist for 21 years this year and he has put names on people then had to cover them. It happens. You also might want to consider getting matching tattoos. This way you would not have to worrie about having his name covered up. I hope this helps. Good Luck !
Reply:why are thinking negative, I don't know if it will work out.

That is real eye opener.

Don't and tell him that.

Hey honey let's go buy matching shoes? No, I don't want to. I don't know if how relationship is gonna last.

Just do it.

When you decide to finally leave him, get it lasered off.
Reply:i think you should ask him about the facts

or look on the internet

weither how to get it removed

do some recearch

and try to come to a conclusion

or ask him if he is really sure about it

his answer will mean alot

you will understand when he replies

he might even say

if you dont want to

or he might get annoyed

you must as though

Does your skin get immune to the sun?

What i mean is that after the first time you get a sun burn and it complete heals over does your skin take longer to get burned a second time?
Does your skin get immune to the sun?
for me, it only burns once during the summer. not a good Idea to let it burn in the first place, but for me, I burn once, then I get really tan until halfway through winter.
Does your skin get immune to the sun?
I've only burned once in the Bahamas.

Other than that I just get darker and it takes centuries for me to go back to normal.

I don't think skin gets immune, maybe just a hair tougher but not immune. The human body does have a habit of adapting but not enough to completely nix effects of something like the sun.
Reply:Hey im representing teenage cancer trust and its my job to make sure you don鈥檛 get burnt like Denise Van Outen in the papers the other day!! Not only is it embarrassing it can also make you develop skin cancer, which is not a good thing. I used to think that if I don鈥檛 wear sun cream then I wouldn鈥檛 tan but that is not the case. Sign up now to a free texting service, which will tell you when you need to be, wearing sun cream visit www.shunburn.co.uk or text shun to 8023. Why risk getting burnt when you can avoid it by simply a text!!!

How do I get rid of razor bumps?

i have shaving bumps 24 hours after shaving. what can I do to make them go away without having to see a doctor? and i do not want any tips on prevention. after researching it today, i found out how to prevent them, but not how to get rid of existing ones.
How do I get rid of razor bumps?
I really dont know what you can do to help the existing ones...except dont make it worse by putting moisturizer or lotion that contains alcohol. anything with alcohol will irritate it, just put a wet rag on them either hot or cold if they hurt.

Piercing question?

ok so i have had my bellybutton pierced twiceand each time the skin gets really thin and it feels like it going to tear....oh and now i have a scar on it to
Piercing question?
bellybuttons and eyebrows naturally reject piercings, some people it wont work its way out some people they do, like for me my eyebrows always work there way out but yet my belly piercings stay. If you want to get it pierced you can but every time they pierce it it will more then most times work its way out but you might be lucky and it might stick. its your choice, and with the belly going thru scar tissue doesn't hurt at all.....good luck with whatever you choose
Piercing question?
The same thing happened with my eyebrow at least 4+ times. Rather than letting it rip all the way out and creating even more of a scar than I already had, I just took it out and gave up. Some people's skin is just like that for some reason. I wouldn't try it again, chances are your skin will reject it again and it will just scar more.
Reply:This happened to me, but only because I got mine pierced when I was 13 and I was still growing.

Have you grown, or gained weight?

I suggest not getting it done again.
Reply:Even though most people are well-suited for a navel piercing, lots of people find that their belly button piercings reject; sometimes, this is the fault of the piercer (no, really!) using incorrect jewelry or incorrect placement, or simply not advising the client how to properly care for a navel piercing. Usually, though, rejection is preventable by taking good care of the piercing and making sure that the area doesn't receive any unnecessary trauma (i.e. restrictive clothing, etc.).

A small percentage of people, however, simply are NOT suited for navel piercings. I recommend that you research piercers in your area and visit a very experienced piercer with a good reputation. Ask this piercer for advice; normally, he or she will be able to tell by looking at your navel region whether or not you are suited to this piercing, and if you should attempt to get it again.

Best of luck to you.
Reply:Well your piercing keeps rejecting.

Go to a really good piercer who has lots of experience with navel piercings.

Have him pierce it just slightly deeper so it will be harder for it to reject.

Also make sure you take care of it properly afterwards.
Reply:Was the piercing done with a tapered needle or a gun? Did the piercer check your skin thickness to match it to the appliance? If not, it's not your fault. My piercing artist won't do a piercing unless he feels conditions are perfect. He wouldn't re-pierce a scarred area.

Sounds like your post-piercing instructions were crap. Get an eyebrow (love em), nose ( I miss mine, had to take it out for an MRI), all over the ears and even the lips! Then you won't be taking a chance.

NO tattoo parlor piercers. No guns, needles only. If the post-piercing care lesson doesn't take longer than the piercing, they're not doing a good job.

Pimples and toothpaste?

After already popping a pimple does toothpaste help to make the redness go away? Yes, I know popping it wasn't the best idea and I know toothpaste sometimes works on the actual pimple, but does it matter if it's popped?
Pimples and toothpaste?
no way! Use a product with benzoyl peroxide or salyic acid.
Pimples and toothpaste?
When the pimple is not already popped, the toothpaste helps with the inflammation. It will just irritate an already popped pimple.
Reply:I don't do tooth paste anymore.

I used to try it and it always made my pimple bigger and redder and normally brought a white head : |

Not cool.

So I don't use tooth paste.

Now I use differin. I think its only by prescription though.
Reply:eye drops are supposed to help
Reply:Is there no end to the toothpaste thing. My goodness.
Reply:Try rubbing alcohol
Reply:DEFINITELY NOT! Toothpaste is harmful to your skin whether it is a pimple or not. Toothpaste is meant for teeth so the chemicals and substances in it are not designed to heal a pimple. In fact, it can irritate it; and even lead to scarring because it has fluoride and sodium. Sodium can dry out your skin, but it will most likely irritate it as well.

Best way to get rid of a pimple is by leaving it alone, and applying a cream. I would recommend Neutrogena's Acne Eliminating Gel that costs around $5 dollars. Pimples on average take 2 days or even weeks to heal and disappear completely, so patience is key.

Good luck. =]
Reply:actually tooth paste really works

i use it, it drys out your pimples making it smaller =D
Reply:Toothpaste? Pls dont. Not going to work. Stop using your existing products, if you have. Using herbal, www.pierrechenxu.com. Have pimple cream too, effective man. Order a set of sample, last for a week. You will amaze to see the results. From Singapore
Reply:Toothpaste idea is such BS. Stick with special acne lotions or washes specially formulated to treat acne. Many use peroxide of different types and acids.

I know acne cause i used to have major acne and still have scars from it that are up to 1 in long.I have tried all treatments and found one that worked for me so i know what works and what don't, some treatments work for some people and not for others. So stick with the lotions and washes.
