how bad is lip piercing really?

its not that bad my frend got a lip pierced and she said its not that bad but she said it did hurt her for a couple of weeks

I have one, and it's not that bad. It's about the same as getting your belly pierced, to me. It'll have a burning, dull achy pain right after like any other piercing does, but because this is different tissue and it's a deeper piercing, it requires you to be very cautious of keeping it clean. If you smoke, eat, or drink, you HAVE to swish around listerine in your mouth to prevent it from getting infected.
