Can Someone please help me Stop Biting My nails!?

Iv'e bitten my nails since i was a kid and it never really bothered me until now! I would love to paint my nails and everything but i can't because i have none! SOmeone please give me some tips on how to stop biting its a horrible habit!
Can Someone please help me Stop Biting My nails!?
Only you can stop you biting your nails. I bit mine for years until I saw a photo of a hand model in a handcream commercial. I looked at my hands and thought it looked disgusting so wanted to have nails like the hand model. After a few slips here and there I do now have better nails than her! You have to get it in your head that you can do it and you will. Good luck

my little cousin bites her nails and her mum bought this stuff to put on and so when you bite your nails, it taste horrible and you shud stop! it worked for her! you can prob buy the stuff from a pharmacy!
Reply:Try False Nails .. There Plastic And Are Hard To Bite Or Chip.. Or Nail Vanish Will Smell And You Still Bite It .. Or Use A Hand And Nail Cream Has A Strong But Sweet Smelling To Your Hands And Nails And Increases Nails Lenth Faster x
Reply:you can get special stuff to put on you nails that tastes horrible and when ever you bite your nails the taste goes in your mouth, so after time you stop biting them because of the taste.

i hope this helps.
Reply:im afraid ive been trying to stop for over 40 years with no reulkts lol ive tried everthing potions, false nails my nan used to tie my hands behind my back too lol but nothing worked ive got used to them now and given up trying-sorry hun x
Reply:vI bit my nails for as long as I can remember! Then one year for my birthday, my daughter paid for me to have false nails done at a salon! I had them done and they looked gorgeous it only cost about 拢30. I wasn't able to bite them as they were so hard and not only that they looked that lovely I didn't want to bite them! I went back to the salon once a month to have them maintained, and after 5 months my nails were long enough for them to put acrylic on them and make my own nails tough! now they look lovely, I maintain them myself and I hae definitely got out of the habit of biting them!

Try this, it worked for me, Good luck!!!
Reply:well i sometimes bite my nails but when i get a manicure they make your fingernails really nice and clean and then i dont bite them because the nail polish tastes bad and i dont want to ruin them. it may also be because your mouth gets "bored" and it needs something to do. you should probably try chewing gum or sucking on jolly ranchers. pharmacies have this special non biting/sucking fingers nail polish ( i've heard of it be never seen it). i really don't know how well these things will work for you cuz its all in your mind if you want pretty fingers but i got braces so i cant bite my nails anyways.

HOPE IT HELPS

P.S. i could also tell you that the dirt under your fingernails is actually feces (poo)!! that scares some some people from biting :)
Reply:I used to bite my nails when i was a young buck. I don't know how I stopped, but i stopped. It is a very bas habit. Put it in your head that you will not bite your nails. Everythime yo teeth touches yo finganails, shoot yoself in the arm with an automatic pistol.
Reply:put nail varnish remover of some horrible taste on your nails -stoped me biting them
Reply:NAIL BITTING IS A HORRIBLE HABIT!! NAILS CONTAIN ALL SORTS OF UGLY GERMS EVEN IF YOU DON'T SEE THEM. IMAGINE EATING THEM EWWW YOU WILL GET SICK.
Reply:well I have been biting my nail for the whole of my life. Up until about 2 months ago. One day I just decided to grow them and now 2 months later they are long and I get enjoyment out of painting them any colour I want. Before dark colours on my very short nails made my fingers look stumpy, but not anymore. Good luck hun x x

P.s - sometimes when I am stressed I go to bite but instead end up picking all the varnish off, I can always paint again.
