Itchy/Dry tattoo= Cortizone-10?

My tattoo is in the healing state so its REALLY dry and itchy. The lubriderm i bought isnt working, its not strong enough. Would it be ok to put Hydrocortizone Cream on it?

you can put regular lotion on it if you want thats what i did in all of my tats

no, and no neosporin, they can dull the color. use bacitrine, or plain old vasaline or tattoo goo.
Reply:Use A%26amp;D ointment.

Cortizone is known to draw out the ink.
Reply:I'm covered in tatts, from the 70's %26amp; 80's. We never had cream then, we used methylated spirits. It stung but the tatts healed quick.
Reply:I used Curel lotion on my tattoo and it healed great! I mean it did itch a little but don't scratch it, just slap it. i know it sounds weird but slapping it works just as well as itching does. If you are having issues with the healing and stuff of the tattoo then go back and see your tattoo person. They should have advice for you.
Reply:you might want to get a doctors advice on what to use;

my mom got a tattoo and used something (i cant remember what) and it became severly infected and she had to get shots to heal it, so its better to get profesional advice rather than trying to figure it out on your own[:
Reply:No DO NOT use anything other than tattoo aftercare supplies on the healing tattoo.

Apply some Tattoo Goo lotion or some salve.

If it's still itchy then you can pat/slap it but dont rub it.
Reply:dont put that on there!!

use vaseline intensive care lotion 3-5 times daily.
