How long did your tattoo take to heal?

Its small about 2 inches in each way. I am a slow healer and I scab really easy [with any injury].

Since you are a slow healer I would allow extra time for a tattoo to heal. Usually a tattoo heals in between 2 to 3 weeks. My husband has been a professional tattoo artist for 21 years this year. I am also very heavily tattooed and I usually heal in between 2 to 3 weeks. However if you seem to be having problems I waould go back to my tattoo artist and show him/her and see what he/she has to say. I hope this helps. Good Luck !

I will say about 2 weeks. I have 4 of them, including a HUGE Dragon on my upper left thigh (about 6x5 in) and a big tribal on my lower back, and they healed pretty fast and without any complications.

Reply:it will heal better if u dont itch it and use the tat creams u can get on market to help heal and protect the colour of ink. everyones differ, id say if u scab well, it means u heal well, i think it depends on wot size needle uve had to, most of mine took two weeks, some only bout one..
Reply:Average time for most people is two weeks. I've seen 'em take a month at the very longest, but she is almost sixty years old, and it was a full sleeve. Thanks!
Reply:Well mine is medium-sized and took about 3 weeks to completely heal.


Tattoos usually take about 30 days to completely heal.


It will scab up quite a bit, maybe more for you since you scab easily.


But just remember to clean it as you're supposed to and DO NOT pick the scabs.


It will ruin your tattoo.
Reply:my star which is about the size of a quarter took about a week, to stop scabbing but I kept using the tattoo gel stuff for like 3 weeks. it was my first one, and im a slow healer too, and scab too I was really careful with it


then my other one which is bigger took about two weeks to stop scabbing and I got it done in summer so I was very careful with not having it exposed in sun and such.


best is to just go with how your body goes, and dont rush it

Reply:When I got my 3x4" tattoo, it took about three weeks to heal. I'm a really slow healer also, so I treated it as if it were a fresh tattoo for a little over a month, just in case. Better safe than sorry!
