Boils are usually a staph infection, you should take the child to the doctor ASAP. Boils on the face can spread to the sinus cavity and cause meningitis or other permanent damage and even death if not treated immediately.
Reply:Don't risk your kids health by asking the public. We can't see or test anything. This needs to be seen by the doctor.
Reply:could be a TON of different things... I had large lumps in and around my arm pits when I was in college... they would get big and red and painful, and then eventually "burst" and puss and blood would ooze out for about 24 hours or so, and then it would be fine and heal up... but then another one would come. It continued for months before I finally went to a doctor.
He said they were infectious cysts and gave me antibiotics and (Thank God) I haven't had any since.
Lots of other skin anomolies can look like this though... in any case, if they are red and filled with puss, you can almost GUARANTEE they are painful... so take your baby to the pediatrician ASAP so you can begin treatment and stop the pain as fast as possible.
Reply:I can't believe you'd be asking this on a public forum! Wake up and smell the coffee - your daughter needs a doctor ASAP. Antibiotics will be her most likely option.
You must ensure that she has curd a half hour after every dose to replace the friendly bacteria the antibiotics will be wiping out. Also give her Vitamin B %26amp; C supplements for the entire duration of the medication.
