Girl mustache?

This is really hard for me to write because it bothers me so much. It is so embarassing. But when I was the age of 10 I started to shave above my lip. The reason why is because I use to get made fun of a lot.... because im a girl and I had a mustache.

Im sure having the judgement of a 10 year old mind wasnt sure a great idea to shave it. But now im 22.... and i still shave above my lip.... and no matter how i shave you can see a gray shadow about my lip. Everytime i look in the mirror im disgcusted with myself. I sometimes wonder if people can notice.

So.. i still shave it.. and on top of that i put foundation over it....I have tried so many foundation but that doesnt seem to cover up the grey shadow i have. I have even tried bleaching it... but my hair is so dark and thick from shaving all the years... it does not help.

I am i the only girl who does this? And what should i do? Please help
Girl mustache?
you should consider getting laser hair removal, since its permanent you'll never have to worry about it again.
Girl mustache?
well im young and i have a mustache too. i dont shave. you should just like get it waxed off or put on some cream thats would make hair growth gone.
Reply:Get it waxed or have laser hair removal done.
Reply:I agree with the first person. Check the yellow pages.
Reply:Consider waxing! Lots of people do this, there's really no shame in it.

Hell, when you look back on pictures of me as a kid I had a freakin' 80 year old mans eyebrows.. Unibrow, you would say.

I get my brows waxed every couple of weeks and tweeze inbetween. Daily though I still shave the middle. It's nothing to worry about, we just happen to have had **** genetics in that section. LOL. I definetly suggest waxing, that or when you shave use a foam with it.

Nair is always an option, too. :]
Reply:My sister waxes hers, I only bleach it with Jolens cream. Sometimes I pluck those few which are a bit prominent but overall I think people really do not notice as much!!! I had a laser hair removal treatment on my body and it worked fab - totally worth the money. It may be a solution for you. Oh yes and another thing - the 'shadow' as you describe it may actually be a dark patch permanently on your skin - I have it there and on the side of my face from hyperpigmentation and many people thought I had a moustache but never mentioned it until I draw attention to it. Get a consultation in some salon - they are for free!
Reply:If you afford it or have insurance, see a dermatologist, otherwise, start saving your money to see one. You might have a skin discloration over your lip which is not uncommon, particularly if you take birth control pills. The doctor can prescribe a cream that will lighten the area, and pick one that also does laser hair removal.
