When I just got my Belly pirced can it get wett?

When you just get your belly pierced can you wett it like when you take a shower or you have to wait few days and not wett? If you have to wait and not wett it how long? And are you allowed to go to pools if no how long and the ocean. Plz help me!!!

You can shower but I would avoid bath! make sure you dry it afterwards. You can actually clean it in the shower with antibacterial soap - it turns better when wet.


Avoid pools but do go in the ocean - after all, the best healing substance is salt water. Sea water cleans exzema etc, so go for it! Be prepared that it will heal for few months - it is not the easiest place.
Reply:Yeah you can but you have to thoroly dry it to keep it from getting infected.
Reply:You should clean it once or twice a day with saline, or a sea salt solution. Put enough saline in a small, disposable cup so that when you lay down, the piercing will be fully covered. Let the piercing soak for 10 to 15 minutes before removing the cup.





In the shower, you can clean the jewelry and the area around the piercing with a mild soap. Gently push the jewelry through the piercing, cleaning the piercing with the soap. Make sure to get all the soap from around the piercing. Leaving soap in a wound, as a piercing is essentially a wound, can cause more irritation.
Reply:u suppose 2 get it wet in da shower had mine pierced for 3 years now dont know bout the pool cause i cant swim lol but make sure u keep it clean or it will get infected
Reply:NOOO!!!!...It cannot get wet when it's new. If you're taking a shower, face backwards or place a foam cup over the piercing. Do not get in pool water or ocean water, they both can cause major infections. I suggest you go back and ask the person who pierced it how long you should wait before getting it wet.
Reply:okay when i got my Monroe the gave me a paper that has about the belly, tongue,and others this is what it says about the belly avoid hot tubs and public pools during the healing process if you must swim,cover with a waterproof bandage also avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds for a few weeks.definitely avoid tanning oils,lotions and sand avoid tight fitting clothes which might irritate a new body piercing and change the bedsheets at least once a week .

Reply:swimmin in the pool is ok, but if ur piercer gives no suggestions, maybe u need to find a new one.
