Belly button ring?

I got my belly button pierced a couple weeks ago, i am just wondering, how long should i wait until i can change my ring?


and any tips on how to take it out carefully?

I changed mines a week after. Im lucky it didnt get infected. But you should wait about six weeks. and dont swim for like a month

Reply:When I got mine done I was told to wait at least 4-6 weeks before changing it. I would turn mine around and around and put peroxide on it then try and take it out. I did that for quite a while, even tho I didnt need to lol. That worked for me and I had mine about 2 years before I had to take it out because of the baby.
Reply:I waited about 3 weeks to change mine. I think that it would be ok to swim in salt water since the piercer I had recommended salt water soaks for my piercing to help the healing just make sure to dry it off well afterward and rinse it with clean water.
Reply:I beleive 6 weeks is the magic number before you change the ring. I would think a pool is much safer than a lake of other bacteria filled body of water. Call the shop who did the work for you and see what they say.
