if its recent then yes of course because ur skin is healing. just dont scratch it because then you will have a possibility of leaving a scab and then the tattoo gets messed up. jsut put some of that cream they gave u when you got the tat and u should be fine.

When they are healing, yes. Tattoos are just like a scab, so naturally they itch. But DO NOT scratch it, it will ruin the look of your tattoo when it is healed!

yes, but dont scratch it!! What are you putting on it?? Try using vaseline intensive care lotion 3-5 times a day instead of whatever else your using. Any kind of ointment on a tattoo will irritate it, plus it ruins the color.

Reply:Yes it is totally normal for your healing tattoo to itch. It is just like a wound itching while it is healing. If it has any scabs or anything like that don%26#039;t scratch it. I usually just lightly rub it. That usually helps the itching. I hope this helps. Good Luck !

Reply:Once you get a tattoo and when it starts to heal, it will itch. It may be very uncomfortable for a while but you have to remember not to scratch it.

Reply:Yes, it%26#039;s totally normal. Try slapping it if the itching gets too much to handle. Sometimes, I%26#039;ll scratch the skin around the tattoo. That seems to work. Also, I%26#039;ll put lotion on it. That seems to help too.
Reply:YES. It means it is healing. Just leave it ALONE (no rubbing, etc.) unless you are putting lotion on it 3-4x a day. It will be worth the itching after it cures.
