I want to get my cartilage pierced but my mom won't let me!!!!!! What should i do?!?!?

i want it really bad. i am thirteen, do you think that i am too young? what is a good argument?

by the way cartilage is your upper ear where it is a little still, not the bottom flappy part
I want to get my cartilage pierced but my mom won%26#039;t let me!!!!!! What should i do?!?!?
Do what she asks of you. If you want it that bad, you can wait to get it on your own.

get over it.
Reply:deal with it get it when ur 18 or when ur mom lets u
Reply:I got mine done when i was 14...I don%26#039;t know what one year would do. Most places won%26#039;t even pierce the cartilage until you are 13. I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s that big of a deal. I think you should sit her down and talk to her. Ask her why she doesn%26#039;t want you to get it done. She obviously has a reason. My mom doesn%26#039;t really care about my ears, but to make sure she was totally on board with it, I payed for it with my own money. Try doing that, and it adds a little bonus in there and shows that you are old enough to pay for it. Just say that you want it really bad and that you will pay for it. Also, if you have good grades, that will help persuade her. If she still won%26#039;t budge, just give it a year. or, when you are 18, you can do whatever you want! Good luck, hope I helped! :)
Reply:If you want it bad enough, you%26#039;ll still want it badly in a year or two. Wait and see how badly you really want it.

I personally would not do it, it can be very dangerous.
Reply:youre not too young - make a deal with her.

for instance, my skin%26#039;s really oily and i had lots of trouble with acne last fall - i asked my mom,%26quot; if i keep my face clear of major breakouts for three consecutive months, can i get my cartilage pierced?%26quot; she said yes, and now i%26#039;ve had it pierced for about 4 months. this was a good choice of a deal because it also showed that i would be cleaning my new piercing every day, that i would keep up with the hygiene of it so that it wouldnt get infected.

you could also do something like chores or special work (yard work, office work, etc) for your parents.

edit: paying for it yourself, as someone above me said, is a good way - i did that and paid the piercer%26#039;s tip as well (it wasnt much additional money though, total of $40 spent)
Reply:tell her that if she doesnt let you, you%26#039;ll pierce it yourself and it might get infected. Also say mom your so old thats why your not letting me oldy locks. Trust me parents hate when you call the old.
Reply:Yeah right you are NOT too young, I got myne done when I was 12 (with parent consent) and my parents are STRICT!
Reply:Be grateful you have a Mom who cares for you,and will stand up for her standards. Your cartilage will be there forever and so will the hole, you might decide to become an actress and the extra hole might not fit your character. I know that this is not the answer you want. Sorry
Reply:DONT GET IT PIERCED !

i am fourteen i got mine done about 7 months ago,

it never healed,

it shattered my ear

it always got infected,

then one day my friend lightly knocked my ear and it swelled up HEAPS,

then the back of the earing had grown into my ear

i could hardly see it,

then i went to the doctors after a week they ripped it out with pliers which ******* hurt.

and it bled heaps,

and now it closed over and i still have a small lump there,

most of my friends who got it done hasn%26#039;t worked.

its not worth it,

its the most infected piercing you can get,

and thats a fact
